President Gloria called the meeting to order at 7 p.m.
There were 27 members and two guests in attendance.
We were introduced to Monika Mohr, a new member who joined us tonight.
Treasurer Bea provided a financial report:
Bank Balance is $3325.97 and Petty Cash is $143.87.
We were reminded of our retreat at Brookswood on November 1, 2 and 3. Lynne explained that the tables are allocated on a first come, first serve basis and there is room for 18-20 stitchers. The charge is $5 per day which also includes insurance for leaving a machine overnight.
Donna M. read a letter from the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation which thanked us for the 56 community quilts that Donna and Diane B. delivered to the hospital during the summer.
The letter writer told us how delighted the new patients are when they’re told they can choose a quilt for themselves.
Donna reminded members that she will bring pre-cut batting and labels to Brookswood. Between sewing days, please let Donna know if you need batting for a community quilt, or if you need a different size than the standard square lap quilt.
Show and Tell
Karen B. showed a Christmas table runner, a yellow Community Quilt, a baby quilt featuring bears and foxes and a large turquoise and pink butterfly quilt.
Sue S. showed a large quilt featuring brown and white fabric with turquoise stripes and matching pillow.

Sheila C. had also made 4 shirt protectors which featured cat fabric.
