Gloria’s faux hand stitching by machine. Invisible thread was on the top and colored thread in the
bottom. Gloria selected a special stitch that brings the bottom stitch up to the top, goes back and forth
over that stitch three times, and then moves down one stitch with the invisible thread. The result is a
faux hand stitch. Gloria showed her demo on a Janome machine. On Gloria’s machine it is stitch 06
when the HP plate is on. The stitch length is set to 5. A video showing the stitch on a Janome machine.
This stitch can be achieved on other machines as well. video showing a mock hand stitch on a Bernina
