 Crescent Quilters meeting minutes

The meeting was called to order by Acting President Gloria.

We began with our Program which was a Zoom Presentation from Ontario 

featuring needlework by Elizabeth DeCroos who explained the Korean fabric 

work called pojagi. Her work can be seen on her website, Epida Studio.

Show and Tell

Linda Lee - a baby quilt from a panel with printed Minki on the back

Wendy - shirt protectors and a communal Christmas quilt from 1983. The 

makers rotate the quilt’s location every year.

Guest Gillian - shirt protectors

Carol P. - 24 shirt protectors!

Mary Jo - purple and green quilt for her new sister-in law

Joan - a tailored jacket made from quilted fabric

Vivian - shirt protectors and 6 pieced placemats

Jean - a booklet describing an exhibition of quilts honouring WWII veterans

Denise - Snowmen on a seasonal quilt

Bonnie - an Advent Calendar. She also shared her medical and hospital 

experiences over the past weeks.

Roz - shared a video featuring a baby enjoying the Quilt Roz made

Gloria reviewed the details for the Christmas party coming up December 11.

There was a query regarding a proposed Brella presentation on Dementia. It was 

agreed that this sounds like a valuable evening but not something we will host as 

a Quilt meeting.

Annette has agreed to do our Draw Prize program for the coming months.

Brookswood dues for 2024 can be paid now, $30 to Treasurer Elaine via 

etransfer,
