Agenda
Susan chaired the meeting. She welcomed
everyone.
Next month in June, there will be a social
at Karen’s house. Details will be emailed out.
Marette thanked everyone for participating
in this year’s program structure.
She went over the executive team for next
year. Susan will remain as President for one more year, but would still like
someone to volunteer to be learning the role from her, be her back-up and take
over for the following year.
Susan will also take on being the treasurer next year.
Gloria F. will take on program co-ordination for next year. New teams will be
selected in June.
Annette S. will still do door prizes next year.
Donna M. will still do community quilts next year.
Linda C-W. will do membership next year.
Jean will continue to take photos next year.
Monika will continue to be the Brookswood Coordinator next year.
Carole N. will be the secretary next year.
Iris Z. ill be the Sunshine person next year.
Elaine is taking money for dues for next
year’s membership. Cash, cheque, or e-Transfer. (Due by end of May)
More batting for community quilts has been purchased from Dinky Doo.
Brookswood – Sew days next week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Lots of
room left. Let Monika know if you are coming. (May 22, 23, and 24)
Sew, Show ’n’ Tell
Susan – Showed her completed community
quilt that was made using the directions for the mystery quilt this year.
Nicky – Showed her Round Robin quilt that
she made into a wall hanging for her bedroom.
Carolyn – Showed a shirt saver she bought.
Vivian – Showed a blue baby quilt she made
that she will be sending to Australia.
Wendy – Showed a King-sized quilt she made
using paper piecing method to assemble. Also, some pillowcases to match.
Carol P. – Half square triangle quilt
community quilt, Grey, purple community quilt. Three quilts made with Japanese
fabric (pretty flowers, light green, bright colors, half square triangles)
Elaine – Blue quilt she made with scraps
(for community) Large quilt she bought a Rag finery in Bellingham.
Shelagh – Quilt top with puppies, kittens.
Turquoise, I spy with a twist.
Karen – Community quilt. Purple, Kaffe
fabric. Also, a quilt made from a pattern called “The lady” made with a
jelly roll she picked up in Florida.

The Program of the evening— Team 1 Several
stations for people to rotate through to learn a skill or tip.
