My apologies for getting these minutes out so late. The month slipped away on me, and before I knew it, the Crescent retreat was upon me, and there went all my spare time.Gwen Ashdown, Valerie Towler and Marcia Pieper are signed up to bring treats tomorrow night. Lynne Mathison and Linda Brock are signed up for beverages. Thanks ladies!We welcomed another new member to our group. Welcome Barb Cheetham! We are happy to have you join us and I hope you enjoy being a member.We started the meeting with a clarification on meeting times - our meeting in May will be on May 25th. This is actually the FOURTH Monday in May, so please mark your calendars.Also, your poorly skilled secretary forgot to announce the winner of the Sharezees last month - Lyndsay Brandon was the lucky girl with a whopping $20 windfall.Reports:Secretary: contracts will be brought to each meeting. If someone wants to add anything to their contract they are more than welcome to.Treasurer: Bank - $5301.64 Petty cash - $115.65 Note: $660 earmarked for the retreat.Community Quilts - Dianne distributed Step 2. Step 3 will be the last stepRetreats: Brookswood Senior Center - Bonnie investigated. $50/day for members, $100/day for nonmembers. It will easily hold 20 sewers. They provide tables, and kitchen facilities. Carolyn Smith heard that the teacher has to be a member. Bonnie will talk to them for more detail.Insurance can be purchased through CQA for $130/year. - I don't have anyone's name written down for confirmation. Lynne Mathison, were you the one who was looking into this? Hospitality: Karen - Christmas party will be at Lyndsay's place at 6 pm on Dec 8, which is the SECOND Monday of the month. Lyndsay will send parking instructions. Lyndsay is providing punch. This is a potluck, please include ingredients if possible as we do have people with allergies in the group.
