November Recipe

It's getting colder outside. Time for a nice bowl of warm apple crisp.Such comfort food! This wonderful recipe was submitted by Bonnie.
Tested by Gloria. Her husband said "This is the best apple crisp you have ever made!"
                                                     APPLE CRUMBLE
Peel and slice 6 medium size apples.  Spartans work well.  Place in a greased baking dish or pie plate.  Add cinnamon and sugar to taste.
Topping:
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. flour
1/3 c. demerara sugar
3/4 c. quick oats or large flaked oats
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Mix together well with hands and place upon the apples.
Add 1/4 c. water on the side of the baking dish.  This will help in the baking.
Bake for approx. 325* for a half an hour or until the apples soft.
