September letter

Hello everyone,

I am getting excited that our first meeting of the year is drawing near. I hope you all had a good summer. I am looking forward to seeing everyone. I will make sure there is a little extra time for people to socialize at our September meeting. I am sure other people are looking forward to catching up with everyone else too. We will be welcoming a few new members into our group this year. A couple of them have been Crescent Quilters' members before.

The meetings this year will basically have the same vibe as last year. We have some speakers planned for the upcoming year. We will have
Sew, Show 'n' Tell as always. We will have door prizes, name tag draws, and Sharzees as usual. We will have a Christmas party and a year end party as usual. We will not have a UFO challenge this year. We will work on making community quilts as always. Shirt protectors and fidget quilts will still be accepted.

As fall approaches, many of us will be  hunkering down in our houses and doing a little bit more quilting than in the summer time. I know I do that. I am looking forward to hearing what other people are currently working on! Think about the group activity that we will be having. You will have a chance to tell other people about what you are working on in a small group. It can be a project that you haven't started yet, but are planning out... or it could be a work in progress. Did you purchase fabric for it, or did you pull from your stash? What pattern are you using? Perhaps you could bring the pattern along to show.  You can even take a picture of the work in progress on your phone and show it to the others if you wish.

I am also looking forward to seeing what peoples' favorite quilts are. Bring them along for our special Show and Tell this month.

See you soon!

Gloria
