January 2020 Newslettter

Our next meeting is January 20th.                                                 Place: Come Share Seniors Center

Time: Doors open at 6:30,

The meeting starts at 7 pm and finish at 9 pm.  Please help set up chairs/tables if you are able, and also help put  them away at the end.

It will be a fun evening of themed "strip poker"
The theme will be BLACK & WHITE.

The rules are simple to learn even if you have never played before.
To participate in playing, please bring five strips that are 2 1/2 inches by the width of fabric that are black and white. Or they can be tone on tone white, or tone on tone black prints.
For those of you who do not have fabric at home that fits into this category, there will be an option to buy into a jelly roll.
The price for this will be $7.00 (for five strips). It will be:

"Pen and Ink" Jelly Roll by Robert Kaufman Fabrics RU-881-40

A maximum of eight people will be able to buy strips from this jelly roll, so we do need some people to bring their own strips. If more than eight people want to buy strips, I have a tone on tone white jelly roll that I can also open.
If playing strip poker doesn't appeal to you, bring a project that you can sit and stitch, or a pair of scissors to cut out patterns for shirt protectors. I will bring a pile of the blue cloths used for lining the shirt protectors.

People who signed up to bring snacks are Shelagh and Mary Jo.

We will have a Sew, Show 'n' Tell. Show us what you have been working on. Also, if you have a black and white quilt, or black and white plus one other color that you have made in the past, bring it along to show.
