Story of how a quilt from a trying time was cherished

If we would have had our regular May meeting, our guest would have brought her extensive historical quilt collection to show us. She would have given us her talk on historical quilts. In keeping with the theme we would have had this month, I wanted to share a story about a quilt that a man kept for 70 years.

Some people make comparisons of Covid times with war times. These are times that will be remembered by all. Each person will have their own story from the Covid time. If you gift a quilt to someone during this time, it may be cherished even more than any other quilt you have given! The person on the recieving end will associate it as a memory of the time. It will provide comfort now, and may become a piece of history that will be passed down to future generations of the person who you give it to.
