Crescent Quilters,
Well, May is here. We are almost to the end of our Crescent Quilters' Year. May is usually when we collect membership fees for the next year. This year we will defer payment until September.
Community quilts -- Thank-you to everyone who has turned in a quilt to Donna. She took eleven quilts to Peace Arch residential care on April 23rd. Please continue to work on community quilts and turn them in to Donna. Out goal is to complete as many quilts as we can by June. Please contact Donna if you need labels or batting. Please note, the community quilts do not have to be rectangles, they can be any design you wish. Rectangles were just a fun challenge to use as a suggestion.
Out next Zoom meeting will be on Monday, May 17th. It will be hosted by Gillian. The meeting will start at 7pm, but she will be opening up the meeting for chat time starting at 6:30pm. We will have a Sew, Show 'n' Tell slideshow. People can tell us about their quilts live at the meeting. If they have submitted quilts, but cannot join the meeting that's OK too. We will still enjoy seeing the photos! The link for the meeting will be emailed to you the day before the meeting.
Note the Sew, Show 'n' Tell photos for May will be posted after the Zoom meeting.
At the Zoom meeting, we will also talk about next year, and the positions that are open for the executive committee. Please check out the executive committee link on the right side of this page to see which positions are available to be filled. Start thinking about what role you would like to take if you would like to be on the executive committee.
Round Robin -- We are in our final month of the round robin activity. It is exciting to be finishing up the quilt tops. We are looking forward to seeing all of the finished quilts! The due date is May 17th.
