Agenda

Susan chaired the meeting. She welcomed everyone. For an ice breaker she asked other people to share

how their Christmas/holiday went. Several people shared stories.

The following things were said:

-Donna has labels for community quilts. She will give them to those that request.

-$135 was raised for the food bank at Karen’s Christmas party. It has been given to them.

-The Purdy’s fundraiser raised $345.91

-Brookswood memberships have been paid to Brookswood.

-Some of the executive positions will open up for next year. Start thinking about volunteering to be part

of the executive committee. We need to fill the President and Secretary positions.

-Susan about to leave on vacation. She may or may not be back for the February meeting. Gloria will fill

in for Susan if she is not back.

Door prizes and Sharzees were done.

Sew, Show ‘n’ Tell:

Vivian showed her beautiful Round Robin quilt that Faith quilted for her. She also showed a quilt that

she completed that she picked up partially completed on a freebie table at one of our meetings. It was a

kit which turned out beautifully. Faith quilted it.

Carolyn showed three beautiful bright colored community quilts that she made. She also made one that

was black, white, grey and turquoise.

Bea showed 12 shirt protectors that she made to donate to Brella. She also showed a very nice quilt that

she made with triangle pieces that someone from our group gave her.

Mary Jo showed a lovely wall hanging. Every block on the wall hanging was done by a different person

(round robin). It was made awhile back, but she thought it would be nice to show again.

Gloria showed the quilt top that was the reveal of this year’s mystery quilt pattern.

Show & Tell—Photos were taken by Jean.

The program of the evening was put on by team number five. They divided everyone up into four

groups. They had tutorials for everyone to rotate through. It was interesting and interactive. Members

enjoyed the evening. Mary Jo, Karen, Marette and Wendy were presenters.
