Karen asked everyone to fill out a confidential ballot asking:
“Do you want your e-mail, home address, phone number on list for other members to see?
Show & Tell – do you consent for photos of your work to be on Crescent Quilters blog? No faces will be shown.”
Fundraiser: We will be selling Purdys chocolates again this year, as it was very profitable last year. All information and catalogues will be given out at the October meeting.
Snack sign up: The doors will be open at 6:30, for you to come early and socialize with other members. A light snack will be provided, cookies, loaf etc., please bring your own beverage. We have a sign-up sheet if you are interested in bringing a small snack. We are hoping for three ladies per meeting.
Fat Quarter Draw: Karen introduced a fat quarter draw. For every fat quarter you bring, you will receive a ticket that goes into the draw for your chance to win the fat quarters. For October, bring fat quarters with red in them or that are related to Halloween.
We have one space left to bring our numbers up to 40 plus 1 honorary member. Susan reminded us about the posters she emailed to us promoting our group. She encouraged us to post them in good places.
Karen D told us that Carol MacNamara passed away suddenly. Many of our members knew her.
Gloria asked the group about interest in workshops. One suggestion was a “shirt protector” workday. She asked for a show of hands about whether weekdays or weekends were preferred. She also offered to host informal zoom chats for members if there is interest.
Groups – In case you don’t have a copy of Gloria’s program for the year, I’ve included it here.
