Our next meeeting will be November 19th at "Come Share" Seniors Center.
The meeting starts at 7pm, but try to arrive early to visit with others, and help set up the room. The doors will open at 6:30pm.
We will start the evening off with a mixer: Prepare to get into small groups to talk with each other about your favourite quilting tools. If you can bring something along to show your group that would be great. This can be anything from rulers, favourite marking tools, cutting tools etc. Perhaps you have an unusual accessory you find useful. Tell your group about it. This will tie in nicely with our guest speaker.
Our Guest Speaker this month:
CAROLA Russell- I am an Aurifil Thread Importer, distributor, wholesaler, retailer and educator. I teach and lecture at quilt shows, sewing shows and quilting guilds. I have a travelling quilt shop which is routinely invited to quilting retreats and quild meetings.
We will also have:
- Sew, Show 'n' Tell
- Snack (Faith, Iris, and Brenda have signed up to bring food)
- Diane will reveal the next step of the mystery quilt.
- Door prizes, Sharzee draw, name tag draw.
- Hear details about our upcoming Christmas Party.
- Donna will draw a number for the UFO project.
- Mary Jo will give an update on making bibs for "Come Share".
Don't forget to bring your wallets. There will be a chance to go shopping at the meeting.
