How to quilt a spider web design

 Submitted by Donna M.

When I dropped my first Round Robin off at Helen's she noticed a spider web and remarked that it would make a great quilting design...and it did! It works perfectly on a 36" square top.

How to: Lengthen your stitch length

Put on your walking foot..

Stitch horizontal and vertical lines, you can use green painters tape if needed.

Then add the two diagonal lines. I did three lines of the scalloped "web" the first 4" from the center, the second 5" and the third 6"..I did add an additional scoop in each corner. The quilting did not interfere with the fabric choices on the front and looked great on the back...easy but effective!
