Crescent Quilters’ Meeting Minutes – May 11, 2026
Attendance – 19
Guests - none
Minutes records by Cherie McKechnie, Linda is away
President Karen D. started off the meeting with a joke and began the meeting.
With Sadness –
• Caroline S.’s husband Peter passed away suddenly at the end of April and our
thoughts are with her. There are some cards, kindly made by Sarah N., at the sign in
table for everyone to sign.
• Debbie W. a long-time member has passed away recently as well. We will be
sending her family a card.
BBQ/Garage Sale – June 16th is our year end wind up. It starts at 6pm and will be here at
Brella. BYOB and sign up so we have accurate numbers for the food.
The Garage Sale has been moved to September to give everyone time to prepare and a
reminder will be sent out in August as a reminder.
Membership has room for 4 more people. The new members who have signed up have been
invited to the June BBQ so we can welcome them to our group. Please remember to pay your
annual dues and fill in the online form so we have your correct information.
Facebook – Have 29 members signed up as of today. No one can access
the page unless they are a member of our Guild. Please post any
information that you think will be of interest. The page is only as good as
we make it.
Executive for next year – We have 2 spots still open for next year, President and Programs. If
we do not have a president, there is no guild. For programs, the majority of the planning is
done over the summer and then some additional assistance each month.
Brookswood days - Monica is away, but please come, even if only for one or more days. Our
dates for May are May 26, 27 and 28th from 9am to 4pm.
Beads of courage - Our goal is 100 bags. We have 85 right now and deadline is BBQ to hand
them in.
